I've no doubt angered any religious devotees who bothered to read my comment. (If there were any.) That was not my intention and I don't think I'm helping to elevate the discussion by name-calling and profanity (see Larry's earlier post: What would Martin do?)

I myself am an arrogant asshole, so there is no point pointing out the absurdly obvious.

But that is the absolute worst thing I will do to promote my own beliefs or the lack thereof. I will use rude and inconsiderate language. I will not blow anything up or hurt anyone.

A lot of religious fundamentalists will do much worse. Most Muslims and Christians and Jews are not violent. But some of you are. If any of the peaceful ones are offended by my comments (which is understandable), please direct your ire toward those who share your beliefs who do commit violence. They are the ones who give all of you a bad name. I promise that I will stop calling names when they stop blowing up buildings.
